
As we worked with Ben Callery Architects to put together an amazing renovation and extension design for our young family to grow into, we became aware of the risk that the final design may not align with our budget and we could find ourselves later reworking decisions at cost. So, it was important we were able to engage a builder early to work with us and guide us on how to get the best bang for our budget. Blint was highly recommended by a friend with significant experience with similar projects in the Bayside area, and from the first phone call with Michael James we could see why. During their proposal presentation, they said everything we were hoping to hear, and it was clear the Blint pre-construction process was exactly what we were after. During pre-construction Blint worked through the options with their key suppliers to achieve our intended outcomes. They accompanied us to discuss our options with the suppliers in person and assisted us in making informed decisions with a clear understanding of cost. And as part of the process, all feasible project unknowns were removed through thorough site inspections by all trades to give both us and Blint confidence that the project price is as accurate as possible with no surprises down the track. Blint’s experience and construction knowledge was evident and their guidance and opinions on the best approach was simply outstanding. They provided a clear timeline of actions to meet the tight contract signing deadline we set, and their communication was brilliant, especially given the plethora of questions we peppered them with. We now have a signed, fully fixed-price contract with everything and more that we had hoped to have included in the project, and importantly a clear picture of the final product – and we couldn’t be more excited to see it.
